• After activating the Auto Price Updater addon, you will find the "Auto Price Updater" menu. Clicking on it will take you to the settings page of the Auto Price Updater.
• On the settings page, the first step is to enable the Auto Price Updater option. Simply check the checkbox to enable it.
• Next, select the desired update time. This determines when your product prices will be updated. For example, if you want to update your prices every day at 1:30 PM, set the update time accordingly. The update time will automatically adjust to the next day for subsequent updates.
• Now, let's proceed with mapping the metals using our Metal Price API. In the main plugin, you would have already created metals. To retrieve prices, select the "Mediafem Ltd" API, which provides standard metal prices.
• Once you've selected the API, you can choose the specific gold price that matches your requirements. For instance, you may have options like "Gold," "LBMA Gold PM," "LBMA Gold AM," "Bangalore Gold," and "Chennai Gold" (area-wise prices). Select the appropriate price based on your preference.
• The displayed rate, such as 5940 Rs, is in accordance with your WooCommerce currency settings. If your site uses dollars, the rate will be in dollars. This rate represents the price of 24-karat gold for today. Similarly, if you select "Chennai Gold," the rate would be 5228, and for "Ahmedabad Gold," it would be 5945. The rates may differ based on the location.
• Now, let's choose the purity of the metal. In this case, our metal purity is 14 karat, so select "14 Karat" accordingly. Additionally, you can choose whether to add or subtract from the final rate by specifying a value in the adjustment field. For example, if you choose "Plus" and enter 10 rupees in the adjustment field, the final rate will be 3475.20 (3465.20 API rate + 10 adjustment).
• That's it! You only need to perform this setup once, and from then on, the prices will be automatically updated every day.
• For 18-karat gold, you can follow the same process by selecting the appropriate API rate, purity, and adjustment.
• Please note that there is no API rate available for diamonds, but you can set the diamond rate separately on the metal page.
• As for silver, there are two options available. Choose the desired silver and set the API rate. Since silver doesn't have purity, there's no need to select it. For example, if the API rate is 67.6 and you add 10 rupees as an adjustment, the final rate will be 77.6.
• After making all the necessary selections, don't forget to click "Save Changes."
• That's all there is to it! Your products will be automatically updated at 1:30 PM every day.
